a few days in the garden and working around the sycamores and their one million seedlings makes me wish more trees were turned into useful sculptures, like these two of the several pieces we have from one of our favorite artists, giles kent. in a perfect world we were able to commission some of his site-specific pieces, but then you a) need a wood, which even with all these seedlings may take a few years, and b) great art does not come cheap. really hope that giles makes it big though, he is so talented, and what a friendly chap too!
